Software Engineer – Portfolio Manager Reporting and Analysis (PMRA) Systems

The PMRA (Portfolio Manager Reporting and Analysis) Technology Team supports the Finance function which models and manages the Portfolio Manager and Point72 employee compensation process.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Software Engineer supporting our PMRA Technology, you will:
• Develop robust systems for daily accruals and payout calculations, improving the accuracy of return estimates for our investors.
• Lead application design and implementation to ensure scalability and configurability for a unique and growing business.
• Collaborate with technology infrastructure and platform teams to ensure optimal development operations, including CI/CD standards, and infrastructure usage and configuration.
• Enhance data processing capabilities by upgrading our calculation engine components, consolidating system architecture, and minimizing manual adjustments outside the system.
• Build components to streamline deal-related data entry, improve audit trails for management updates, and reduce manual activities through automated control checks and return calculations.

WHAT’S REQUIRED
• Proven, hands-on experience designing, building and implementing applications.
• Experience with Java/Python as well as common application frameworks and middleware.
• Experience with web development using Angular and Typescript.
• Experience with database design and various ETL data integration techniques.
• Experience with AWS Cloud services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Step Functions)
• Solid understanding of database design and optimization, with hands-on experience in SQL databases.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
• Expertise in the software development life cycle (Agile) and software development tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The annual base salary range for this role is $200,000-$250,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
