You are:
The DevSecOps lead will provide leadership and guidance for the DevOps team. The team is responsible for designing and implementing solutions to modernize legacy approaches to database and application development in the context of the client’s broader technology infrastructure. Team goals include developing automation frameworks for legacy manual deployments while developing proof of concept/pilots for API management and microservices architectures that will support next generation application development and the strategic move from a legacy shared database system to data sharing platform. The DevOps team lead will help refine strategy and define the future state, plan work and establish milestones to achieve goals, create technical designs, baselines, and architectures, and implement proof of concepts/pilots.
The work:
- Lead the design and implementation of DevSecOps strategies, tools, and frameworks
- Integrate security tools in CI/CD pipelines
- Automate infrastructure security checks and compliance monitoring
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with secure defaults
- Design and manage secure cloud infrastructure
- Manage and lead project team of junior resources
Here’s what you need:
- 4+ years of experience with leadership, work planning, communication, automation tools (ex: Ansible, GitLab, Jenkins, etc), experience with deploying containerized workloads (ex: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- 3+ years of Containerization experience using OpenShift or Kubernetes including monitoring, performance testing, and application deployment
- 3+ years of experience with enterprise application migrations to containerized workloads
- 4+ years of experience automating the software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, CircleCI, Maven, Nexus, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or comparable substitutes deploying across development, test, and production environments
- 5+ years hands-on use of scripting languages: Python OR UNIX-based Shell OR PowerShell
- 3+ years leading teams of 4 or more professionals
Nice to have:
- Experience with Mulesoft, Red Hat linux administration, Windows server administration, network architecture, security architecture, hybrid cloud architecture, data persistence/storage technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements:
- US Citizens only (no dual citizenship)
- Must be local to Arlington, VA and willing to work onsite one day per week

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
