Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, document, release, and support the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript to improve overall product quality
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to evaluate feedback and plan future releases
  • Define customer requirements and translate them into product enhancements and new software designs
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including API references, sample code, template apps, and tutorials
  • Resolve bugs identified through in-house testing and customer reports
  • Stay informed about web and browser advancements to ensure customers have access to the best resources

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with web development technologies and scripting skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills essential for collaborating with multiple teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective time management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Expertise in online mapping, GIS, and data visualization, with experience in JavaScript frameworks, TypeScript, and Web Components
  • Familiarity with accessibility, internationalization, localization, Node.js, GitHub Actions, and DevOps
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to large audiences
  • Proven ability to define product roadmaps and implement designs
  • Master's in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or a related field
