The work:
As a Lead AWS Cloud Engineer / Technical Lead for Accenture Federal Services, you will be a hands-on leader who will mentor and provide technical guidance. Your focus will be to design, build, test, integrate, and deploy cloud application solutions within AWS cloud infrastructure (cloud native services). You will be responsible for the technical oversight of a managed service offering. This includes involvement in O&M activities, roadmap planning and innovations, as well as contributing to critical business development activities as the Technical Lead. The managed application is a serverless AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging multiple AWS services and a small set of integrations and data workflows to external sources. You will be responsible for providing guidance across multiple workstreams and skillsets; development, cloud engineering, data engineering, and analytics and AI. In this role, you will also collaborate with the AFS Product Owner, Operations and Security Leads to advise and ensure technical continuity while also working closely with program Leadership and Technical SMEs to support roadmap planning.
Here’s what you need:
- 5+ years of experience leading Software Engineering or Data Engineering
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role, with a focus on AWS GovCloud solutions
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture using cloud native services (AWS Experience required) and scaling solutions using serverless microservices architectures
- Working knowledge of following: AWS CloudFormation, Serverless Framework
- AWS Services: Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, Athena, Redshift, Dynamo DB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, S3, Code Commit, CodeDeploy, VPC Network Firewall
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and libraries.
- Languages: Node.js, Python, YAML, JSON, TypeScript, React
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 8 years (IT/IS or Computer Science preferred)
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working with Federal contracting agencies.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
