The Work:
The SharePoint Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications to support business processes and collaboration. The role involves gathering requirements from stakeholders, translating them into technical solutions, and ensuring SharePoint environments are secure, optimized, and user-friendly. The SharePoint Designer will also provide guidance on best practices, site architecture, and integration with other Microsoft 365 applications.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience designing and customizing SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server sites
- Proficiency with SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, and basic knowledge of Power Apps
- Experience creating and managing SharePoint workflows, lists, libraries, and web parts
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site templates, and permissions management
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML for SharePoint customization
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and ensure solutions meet business requirements
- Strong communication skills to interact with business users and IT teams
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook integration
- Experience with third-party SharePoint add-ons or apps
- Familiarity with database design and integration (SQL Server, Access)
- Understanding of governance policies, security best practices, and compliance requirements
- Experience training or mentoring end-users on SharePoint usage
- Microsoft 365 or SharePoint-related certifications
