About Faire

Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants.

By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

We're looking for a Strategic Finance & Systems Automation specialist to join our Finance Systems and Data team. In this role, you'll be the Pigment platform owner and systems architect, partnering closely with Strategic Finance, Corp Finance, and Data teams to design, build, and optimize our financial planning ecosystem. You'll play a critical role in our IPO readiness journey by delivering scalable systems solutions that power our forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

This role sits within our Finance Systems and Data organization and reports to the Head of Finance Systems and Data, with deep embedded partnership with Corp- Finance leadership. You'll be at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, translating business requirements into elegant technical solutions while continuously improving our planning infrastructure.

What you’ll do

  • Own the Pigment platform end-to-end, including model design, formula logic, system configuration, and integration architecture
  • Implement and deliver key initiatives from our systems roadmap, collaborating with the systems team and cross-functional partners to bring projects from concept to completion
  • Lead monthly data imports, validations, and actuals loading processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across planning applications
  • Design and maintain robust data pipelines that connect Snowflake, Pigment, and downstream reporting tools
  • Act as the technical advisor to Corp-Fin and Strategic Finance on planning workflows, model optimization, and system capabilities
  • Develop dashboards and reporting ecosystems that surface key business insights, drive end-user adoption, and support planning processes
  • Build self-service analytics capabilities that empower finance teams to access and analyze data independently
  • Train and enable finance teams through development of training materials, office hours, and documentation that drive adoption, confidence, and best practices
  • Experiment with AI solutions to automate workflows, improve accuracy, and elevate the speed and impact of Corp-Fin and Strategic Finance operations
  • Stay current on Pigment product releases and industry best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new capabilities

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial systems, FP&A, business systems, or data-focused roles in a SaaS, high-growth, and/or B2B environment
  • Proven expertise building and maintaining financial planning tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, or Adaptive including model design, formula writing, and system configuration
  • Strong technical foundations in SQL or similar languages, with solid understanding of data flows, integrations, and governance across finance systems
  • Track record of translating business needs into scalable system solutions and driving projects from concept to adoption
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive initiatives independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Pigment specifically; driven implementations and integrations in a high-growth or pre-IPO or B2B SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with Mode for data visualization and Snowflake data warehouse to support reporting and insights
  • Understanding of FP&A processes, SaaS metrics and financial modeling principles
  • Experience with process automation, scripting or workflow tools
  • Background supporting IPO readiness initiatives or public company reporting requirements
  • Exposure to AI/ML tools for finance automation and workflow optimization
