The work:
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and fine‐tune IBM watsonx.ai foundation models for code analysis and documentation generation
- Troubleshoot AI model outputs and refine parameters to improve documentation quality
- Validate AI‐generated business logic translations with USPS development teams
- Work with USPS business owners to finalize documentation formats and ensure approvals
- Establish and maintain documentation standards and templates across all systems
- Review and validate AI‐generated documentation for technical accuracy
- Document code analysis findings and develop technical specifications for AI processing
- Map system and program interdependencies to produce system integration specifications
- Define code quality standards and validation criteria for documentation generation
- Collaborate with team lead to continue documenting all integrated systems and codebases
Here is what you need:
- Experience with IBM WatsonX and AI code‐assistant tools
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and/or COBOL
- Experience using Git, GitHub, or similar version‐control tools
- Strong understanding of software architecture and microservices
- Technical documentation experience
- 7+ years of experience as an AI engineer, data engineer, or similar technical role
- Background in Identity Access Management (IAM) and data engineering
- Demonstrated history of improving onboarding processes, decision‐making, and support efficiency through IAM solutions and analytics
- Bachelors degree
Preferred experience:
- Prior work with large-scale enterprise systems (e.g., payroll, financial, or government systems)
- Experience documenting legacy systems or translating COBOL logic
- Experience integrating or standardizing documentation across multi‐application environments
- Familiarity with system dependencies mapping and architecture documentation
