We are looking for an ambitious Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager who puts customers first and will lead our awesome remote-first, diverse team of TPMs to drive the most impactful product development programs. You will lead and manage a team of experienced TPMs, your leadership will play a pivotal role in ensuring both technical excellence and team growth. Your primary responsibilities will include providing mentorship, driving project execution, and removing obstacles that may hinder progress.
This is a hands-on leadership role that also requires leading programs directly through building plans and strategies to deliver cross team work and identify risks and clearly communicate them to program stakeholders. You will be a key contributor to the success of the Product and Engineering teams and shape the future of the Technical Program Management role at Cribl. This role reports to the Head of Technical Program Management.
As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of experienced TPMs.
- Attract, hire, and nurture top talent while promoting an inclusive and diverse team environment.
- Collaborate closely with other leaders to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams and achieve company-wide goals.
- Provide technical leadership for engineering programs and lead the end to end delivery of complex programs across multiple teams, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Be a change advocate responsible for initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business trends and priorities.
- Drive Technical Program Management best practices and develop best of class software development processes.
- Use deep technical skills and domain knowledge to influence the strategic direction of teams and the product and engineering department.
- Define and track improvement to metrics for quality and performance across complex projects involving many teams.
- Develop methods for ongoing communication of planning, program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
- We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours
If You’ve Got It - We Want It
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of leadership experience within software teams as a Manager of TPM or development
- Proven experience leading distributed TPM and engineering teams with a focus on collaboration and effective delivery.
- Experience delivering complex programs or solutions that span different groups within an organization
- Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to present to all levels in an organization and experience influencing senior leadership and technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
- You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
- Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or Confluence and experience with common software development tools (e.g. GitHub, bitbucket, Jenkins) and public cloud technology (e.g. AWS, Azure etc)
Salary Range ($184,000 - $210,000)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), and equity. The total compensation offered for this position will include a commission/incentive plan.
