Overview

Apply your analytical and communication skills to help our Software Products team design, build, and test software features in Esri’s Enterprise and SaaS (Software as a Service) reality mapping products including Site Scan for ArcGIS. This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge of photogrammetry and the drone mapping industry to prioritize user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will work alongside other product engineers, software developers, and product managers to help plan engineering tasks and successful software releases. In this role, you will expand your technical skillset by working with QA and DevOps engineers to automate tests and ensure the software is performant and reliable. This position is based at Esri's headquarters in Southern California.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product, design, development, and testing teams to help facilitate project planning and requirement reviews for Site Scan for ArcGIS
  • Investigate priority customer-reported defects and communicate resolution updates to business development teams
  • Build and maintain automated UI tests that cover priority app features and workflows
  • Build and maintain automated regression tests that validates the ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online DevOps backend services supporting Reality capabilities
  • Maintain technical and user-facing documentation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working with GIS, remote sensing, or photogrammetry software
  • Knowledge of photogrammetry concepts, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis of drone, aerial or satellite imagery
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for collaborating with engineering, product, UX, and geospatial experts
  • Experience with UI or DevOps test automation frameworks for web-based SaaS applications, such as JMeter, selenium or Robot Framework
  • Development skills using Python, JavaScript, or C#
  • Bachelors in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related fields

Recommended Qualifications

  • System integration or test engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable RESTful services
  • Experience with one or more cloud computing infrastructures (Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
  • Experience working with microservices such as Docker, or software orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
  • ISTQB certified or familiarity with Behavior-driven development (BDD) testing
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is$76,960—$128,544 USD
