The Work:
As a systems engineer in this role, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of operating and maintaining a sophisticated cloud architecture. Your day-to-day tasks will involve performing operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, ensuring seamless access for end users, and collaborating closely with application development teams to facilitate their builds. A key aspect of your role will be to enhance the security posture of the environment, safeguarding sensitive data and systems. You will be expected to learn quickly, adapting to new challenges and contributing to the team's success from the outset.
Here is what you need:
- Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and AWS Microservices
- Knowledge of automation scripting using Python and/or PowerShell SSH
- Experience with hybrid networks and automated infrastructure, including tools like Terraform, and cloud formation.
- Experience configuring and managing cloud services such as Splunk, Elastic, and CloudWatch.
- Experience managing Kubernetes (EKS) environments as well as both Linux (specifically RHEL 8 & 9) and Windows environments, including server versions 2019 & 2022, Windows 11, Active Directory, and Powershell.
- Experience with NIST Security Standards and Controls
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related STEM field
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week
