AFS is seeking a customer-facing Infrastructure Engineer to support the development and maintenance of automated data pipelines for one or more dedicated Mission Partners. Locations: Colorado Springs, CO Albuquerque, NM
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for code, data, repositories, and container images
- Monitor and ensure infrastructure performance, availability, and integrity; resolving issues proactively
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Mission Partners to streamline data delivery and infrastructure operations
- Deploy and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Build and maintain orchestration workflows using tools like Gitlab CI/CD, Helm, Flux, and ArgoCD
- Enforce security and compliance standards, including data encryption and role-based access controls
- Promote development practices that minimize risk and long-term sustainment costs
- Work closely with government stakeholders, security teams, program managers, and industry partners to ensure successful program execution
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field AND 4 years of relevant experience; OR, in lieu of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience
- 2 years of experience in/with at least 3 of the following:
- a customer-facing role
- AWS Cloud Platform
- Gitlab CI
- Containers and/or Kubernetes and related containerization and orchestration tools
- IaC tools
- Scripting
- Proven ability to work closely with government partners, security counterparts, program managers, and other defense industry partners to ensure successful execution of program activity
- Active SEC+ (or alternate DoD IAT II certificate)
- Willingness to travel (CONUS) up to 25%
Bonus Points if you have:
- Data security best practices (including DoD STIG & RMF) experience
- Strong experience working with Istio Service Mesh
- Python scripting experience
- Technical certifications, especially
- Kubernetes: CKA, CKAD, CKS
- Cloud Platforms: AWS SysOps Administrator
- RedHat Certifications: RHCSA
- Security Certifications: Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GSLC, CASP, ITIL, CEH
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of networking concepts
- Experience working in a Agile/Scrum environment
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
