Professional Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Fusion ERP Technical Lead to own the technical landscape of our Oracle Cloud SaaS applications. This is not an infrastructure role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert who lives within the Fusion ERP ecosystem, specializing in integrations, data management, reporting, and extensions. You will be the bridge between our functional business teams and the technology, responsible for designing and delivering robust and scalable technical solutions that leverage the full power of the Oracle Cloud Fusion platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Architecture: Design, build, and maintain all integrations to and from Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP. Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), REST/SOAP APIs, and other integration patterns.
- Data Management & Conversion: Lead the technical strategy and execution for all data-related activities, including data conversions during projects, bulk data loading via FBDI, and ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and manage the portfolio of custom reports and analytics. Create complex BI Publisher reports, design real-time OTBI dashboards, and extract data for external data warehouses.
- Extensibility (PaaS Extensions): Evaluate business requirements that cannot be met by standard SaaS functionality. Design and oversee the development of PaaS extensions (e.g., using VBCS, OCI Functions) to fill critical gaps without compromising the integrity of the core application.
- Technical Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce technical standards, development methodologies, and best practices for all development work related to Fusion ERP. Conduct code reviews and ensure quality.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the highest point of technical escalation for issues related to integrations, custom reports, and data flows. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with functional leads, business analysts, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
Updated Requirements (Must-Haves):
The ideal candidate must possess deep experience in BOTH of the following categories:
- Mandatory Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP Technical Experience (SaaS Layer):
This is the primary focus of the role. Candidates without this specific experience will not be considered.
- Integrations: Proven, hands-on project experience building complex integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Must have deep knowledge of the Oracle Cloud ERP REST and SOAP APIs.
- Data Migration & Loading: Expert-level proficiency with File-Based Data Import (FBDI) templates and processes. Must have led the technical data conversion track on at least one full-cycle Oracle Cloud ERP implementation.
- Reporting Tools: Demonstrable expertise in creating complex reports and templates using BI Publisher. Strong experience building analyses and dashboards using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
- Fusion ERP Security Model: Solid understanding of the Oracle Cloud SaaS security model, including roles, privileges, and data security policies.
- Workflow & Approvals: Experience modifying and creating approval workflows using Business Process Management (BPM).
- Foundational Oracle Cloud & Technical Experience (PaaS / IaaS Layer):
This experience is required to support the primary Fusion ERP responsibilities.
- Core OCI Knowledge: A strong understanding of core Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) concepts that interact with SaaS, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Object Storage, and basic networking.
- Database & SQL Expertise: Strong SQL skills are non-negotiable. While this is not a DBA role, the ability to write and understand complex queries for data analysis and validation is essential.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze and debug complex technical issues involving multiple systems (e.g., tracing a failed integration from the source system, through OIC, and into Fusion ERP).
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- Experience building PaaS extensions using Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).
- Functional knowledge in at least one core Oracle Cloud ERP module (e.g., Financials, Procurement).
- Experience with automated testing tools for Oracle Cloud ERP.
- Relevant Oracle Cloud certifications in Integration (OIC) or as a Fusion ERP technical specialist.
