We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Resource Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing strategic programs aimed at optimizing our cloud compute and storage infrastructure. You will drive down costs while significantly increasing resource utilization, directly impacting our profitability and enabling scalable growth. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, program management expertise, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Program Management: Define, plan, and lead complex, highly ambiguous, cross-functional programs focused on cloud compute and storage cost optimization and utilization improvements which also includes influencing a broad range of engineering and product roadmaps and stakeholders
- Cost Optimization: Identify and execute opportunities to reduce cloud spend (e.g., instance right-sizing, cost-effective storage solutions, commitment discounts, auto-scaling optimization).
- Utilization Enhancement: Drive initiatives to maximize the efficiency and utilization of our cloud compute and storage resources across engineering teams.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, product, and SRE teams to understand their needs, secure buy-in, and ensure successful program adoption and execution.
- Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical roadmap for cloud resource optimization, clearly articulating initiatives, timelines, and expected impact.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cloud spend, utilization rates, and program effectiveness. Provide clear, actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Technical Deep Dives: Engage with engineering teams to understand architectural patterns, identify waste, and propose technical solutions for efficiency gains.
- Process Improvement: Champion the develop and standardization of best practices and processes for cloud resource management and cost accountability across the organization.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in a Technical Program Management role within a cloud-native environment.
- Demonstrated experience in driving significant cost savings and/or utilization improvements for cloud compute and storage resources (AWS, Azure, GCP, or a combination).
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data related to cloud cost, utilization and optimization metrics
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, including virtual machines, containers, serverless, storage types (block, object, file), and networking.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with financial planning and budgeting processes related to cloud spend.
- Experience with FinOps practices and principles.

Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.The base salary range below is for the role in California, based on a Full Time Schedule. $180,000—$240,000 USD
