About The Team
The Locations Analytics team is at the heart of Life360's core product experience, partnering deeply with the Locations Operating Group to unlock insights from billions of location events. As a specialized team within our broader Data & Analytics organization, we serve as strategic thought partners—combining deep domain expertise in geospatial analytics with strong cross-functional relationships across Product, Engineering, and Data Science. We don't just report on what happened; we shape what happens next by turning location data into actionable insights that improve how families stay connected and safe.
About the Job
The Manager of Locations Analytics is a player/coach role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on analytics work. You'll lead a small team of product analysts (with growth potential) while staying deeply involved in critical analyses, complex experiments, and high-visibility projects. Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing, you'll define success metrics, design experiments, and translate complex location data into insights that drive product strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in the intersection of doing and teaching—someone who can run a sophisticated causal analysis one day and coach an analyst through their first experiment design the next, all while building an experimentation culture that delivers measurable business impact.
For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $148,000 to $218,500 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
