The work:
The Security Engineer supports overall tool engineering for our Security Operations Center (SOC). This role will be instrumental in enhancing our security posture by focusing on threat detection, event monitoring, cyber threat, and the integration of various security technologies in both on prem and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven ability to support security engineering efforts within a SOC environment.
Here's what you need:
- 5 years of experience in IT and/or Cyber
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Engineering experience supporting three or more of the following disciplines: Threat Detection, Event Monitoring, SIEM Technologies, Cyber Threat Intel, Digital Forensics and Incident Response
- Engineering experience with one or more of the following: Linux, Windows, Active Directory, AWS, Azure
- Active Top Secret required with ability to obtain SCI
- For candidates relocating to Huntsville a relocation bonus may be available
Bonus points if you have:
- Microsoft Sentinel experience
- Experience with using one or more of the following tools: Endgame, Carbon Black, Tanium, FireEye, RSA Archer, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, McAfee, Encase, Security Onion, Snort, ELK, PowerShell and Python.
- Certifications:
- Certified Ethical Hacker
- SANS GIAC Certifications (GCTI, GCIH, GCIA etc.)

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:$108,400—$203,400 USD
