About the role
As a Software Engineer on Analytics in the Simulation Orchestration team, you will own key analytic components that power our autonomy products. You will build tools and infrastructure to manage data flows, ensure data quality, and optimize performance. We work directly with customers and our product teams to meet demands of cutting-edge autonomy development. Your work on data quality and accessibility will fuel insights into customer behavior, operational efficiency, and product decisions.

- Build and own the analytical component of our distributed simulation orchestration platform.
- Support customers and internal teams alike to meet their data analytic requirements.
- Evolve data models & data architecture based on the growth of business.
- Establish analytic practices to drive smarter decision-making across the organization.
- Contribute to a team culture that values innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience writing in one or more of the following: Golang, Python, Java, and C++.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer in data architecture, data pipeline, data warehouse modeling, and data management on at least one major cloud provider.
- Advanced knowledge in SQL and experience in database performance tuning.
- A self-starter mentality and has driven development of a production system from zero to one.
Nice to have:
- Ownership of foundational systems or tools of which engineers rely on and experience in developing tools to support self-serve ETL pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams.
- Familiar with microservice orchestration (Kubernetes), containerization frameworks (Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Experience iterating and scaling up/out infrastructure for critical production systems.
- Experience working with requirements on data security, privacy, and/or compliance
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
