What You’ll Do
About the Team
The Business Systems Engineering team partners closely with Data Center Operations, Infrastructure, Supply Chain, and IT to design and scale the systems that power CoreWeave’s global infrastructure footprint. This team is responsible for building and maintaining platforms that support the full lifecycle of data center assets—from deployment and commissioning to operations and decommissioning—within a high-growth, high-density compute environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Systems Engineer to design, build, and support the systems enabling our Data Center and Logistics Operations. This role focuses on the end-to-end lifecycle of data center assets—from planning and rack-level modeling to decommissioning—while optimizing DCIM and CMMS platforms to support high-density GPU workloads across multiple data center sites.
You will play a key role in ensuring clean system data, efficient operational workflows, and seamless integration across operations, engineering, and IT systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands how infrastructure and operations intersect and can translate complex data center workflows into scalable, automated systems.
What You’ll Own
- Define enterprise DCIM design, including data ownership and system-of-record boundaries for white space and gray space infrastructure
- Lead configuration and administration of DCIM platforms (e.g., Sunbird, Nlyte) and integrations with ITSM tools (e.g., Jira) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
- Build and maintain real-time telemetry pipelines for rack-level power, thermal monitoring, and liquid cooling systems
- Develop internal tools, dashboards, and reporting to visualize data center capacity, health, and operational milestones
- Integrate build-out and commissioning workflows with ongoing operational systems (DCIM, SCADA, ITSM, ERP)
- Create reporting, alerting, and monitoring frameworks to support capacity planning and operational readiness
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure traceability, access controls, and audit readiness across systems
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience working with DCIM platforms, infrastructure systems, or data center systems architecture
- Strong understanding of data center workflows, including rack deployment, provisioning, and asset lifecycle management
- Deep knowledge of power and cooling infrastructure, structured cabling, and telemetry systems
- Expertise in DCIM data models, including hierarchy mapping, asset relationships, and connectivity tracking
- Experience supporting data center build-outs, commissioning, and asset handoff from construction to operations
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Infrastructure, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT
- Experience building custom tools, scripts, or APIs (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React) is a plus
- Experience with construction/project management tools (e.g., Procore, SiteTracker) is a plus
- Familiarity with audit, compliance, and infrastructure traceability requirements
- Experience supporting global or multi-site data center environments
Wondering if You’re a Good Fit?
We believe in investing in our people and value candidates who bring diverse experiences—even if you don’t meet every requirement. You may be a strong fit if:
- You enjoy building systems that support complex, large-scale infrastructure operations
- You are curious about how data center systems evolve in high-growth environments
- You excel at translating operational workflows into scalable technical solutions
