The SharePoint Application Development Lead is responsible for designing, testing, and developing well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient, using best software development practices to meet user needs. This role involves recommending software upgrades for current and future systems, translating User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes, ensuring software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing, and documenting every aspect of the application, service, or environment as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.

The Work:

  • Provide project and product oversight while managing application development schedules based on client priorities.
  • Define and recommend application architecture improvements • Design, test, and develop well-designed web-based software code that is testable and efficient.
  • Utilize best software development practices to meet user needs. • Recommend software upgrades for current and future systems.
  • Translate User Interface (UI)/User Experience (UX) design wireframes into functional web applications.
  • Ensure software continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing.
  • Document every aspect of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the application remains current and competitive.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proven experience in web application development
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint
  • Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices
  • Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades
  • Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity or experience with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React
  • Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries
  • Bachelor's Degree

Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Knowledge of database management and integration
  • Understanding of web security best practices
  • Ability to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
