AFS IT is seeking a Cloud Engineer who is passionate about cloud technologies and eager to apply AI and code-driven solutions to optimize infrastructure. This role bridges foundational engineering tasks and advanced automation initiatives, providing opportunities for growth while contributing meaningfully to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the AFS IT Cloud Engineering team, handling moderately complex tasks independently and collaborating on advanced projects.
- Participate in Agile processes: backlog grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and managing resources across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI).
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171 security standards.
- Design, deploy, and support cloud-native components (e.g., Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Containers, Backups, Patching).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud solutions and services.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while contributing effectively in team settings.
- Actively participate in workstreams, providing updates on progress and results.
- Handle both engineering stories from the Agile board and operational tasks from the ticketing queue.
- Stay current with emerging cloud and AI technologies and actively contribute ideas for improvement.
Here's what you need:
- U.S. Citizen located on U.S. soil (mandatory).
- Experience managing cloud platforms (Azure required; AWS/GCP preferred).
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Github, Terraform, ARM templates).
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks and collaborate effectively.
- Cloud certification (Azure Foundations required; AWS Cloud Practitioner preferred).
- Ability to be on-call as needed.
Bonus points if you have:
- Microsoft Certification: Azure Administrator Associate or higher
- AWS Certification: CloudOps Engineer or higher

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
