This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration, Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week in our New York City Hub Office.
About the Role:
As a Senior Specialist in Ops Enablement & Automation, you’ll lead the delivery of complex automation and tooling projects that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency at scale. You’ll scope and build reliable workflow automations, architect smart internal tools, and collaborate across teams to ensure every solution is scalable, documented, and impactful. You’ll also support the development of junior teammates and contribute to team-wide standards and best practices.
What You'll Work On:
- Lead automation projects: Own the end-to-end delivery of cross-functional automation initiatives, from discovery through deployment and maintenance.
- Design scalable systems: Build modular, efficient, and reusable solutions using OutSystems or other low-code platforms + n8n, Zapier, Make.com or other similar automation orchestration platforms.
- Mentor and guide teammates: Support the growth of Automation Associates and Specialists by providing guidance, reviewing work, and sharing best practices.
- Collaborate across functions: Partner with Ops, Product, and Data to align automation efforts with business needs and technical standards.
- Optimize performance and impact: Monitor usage, improve resilience, and ensure automations are driving measurable time savings and quality gains.
- Champion documentation and quality: Establish and maintain documentation and QA practices that ensure long-term maintainability and adoption.
Your Areas of Expertise:
- Advanced automation delivery: You’re confident in designing and implementing robust workflows with n8n, Zapier or Make.com, leveraging APIs, writing scripts and implementing AI in advanced workflow trees.
- System thinker: You build for scale, modularity, and long-term maintainability - not just quick fixes.
- Cross-functional collaborator: You’re skilled at working with technical and non-technical partners to align priorities and define solutions.
- Mentorship mindset: You enjoy helping others grow by sharing your knowledge and setting high standards.
- Proactive leader: You take initiative to identify gaps, suggest improvements, and raise the bar across tools, documentation, and execution.
Technical Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in n8n, Zapier or Make.com for complex automation development and orchestration
- Advanced experience in building internal apps with OutSystems or similar low-code platforms
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and structured data formats like JSON
- Scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent
- Familiarity in SQL and BI with Sigma, Looker, or other analytics tools for performance tracking
- Proficiency with Confluence, Jira, or Notion for documentation and team collaboration
Compensation & Benefits:
At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.
The base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
