The Work:

Administer and maintain Linux servers and systems in a SOC environment.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cyber security tools including Splunk, threat detection, and monitoring systems.
Ensure the security, availability, and performance of Linux systems and applications.
Collaborate with SOC analysts and other IT staff to identify and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Conduct regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain security compliance.
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning as necessary.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system and security incidents as needed.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Here is what you need:

8 years of Cyber and/or IT experience
Linux systems engineering experience
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management.
Active Top Secret required with ability to obtain SCI
For candidates relocating to Huntsville a relocation bonus may be available

Bonus points if you have:

Experience performing system or network administration
Experience with the following tools: CSAM, XACTA, eMASS crecrea
You have one or more of the following certifications:

Linux+
Red Hat certifications such as RHCA, RHCSA, RHCE etc.
CompTIA Security+
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia is:$93,400—$176,200 USD
