The work:
As a Multi-Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will build automation through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud-native monitoring. A key responsibility is ensuring that all cloud architectures, services, pipelines, configurations, and operational workflows meet NIST 800-53 security and control requirements, supporting compliance for federal workloads. You will participate fully in Agile delivery, maintain documentation, and drive cloud security best practices across environments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engineer cloud solutions across AWS & Azure with NIST 800-53-aligned security controls (AC, AU, CM, CP, IA, SC, SI families).
- Implement IaC (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD pipelines, and automated compliance validation.
- Design secure VPC/VNet networking, private endpoints, firewalls, routing, identity integrations.
- Perform security analysis of cloud services and apply continuous compliance scanning.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and compliance artifacts.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, planning, refinement, and standups.
Here’s what you need:
- Must have technical skills such as AWS, Azure, IaC, CI/CD.
- Must have security & compliance skills such as NIST 800-53.
- Experience with FISMA/FedRAMP ATO support.
- Experience with security automation (e.g., conformance packs, OPA policies, Azure Policy, SCPs).
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
Bonus points if you have:
- Kubernetes, serverless, multi-cloud networking.
