The work:
We're looking for a skilled Jr. Cloud Application Developer to join our team that is working on modernizing a robust set of mission-critical applications that disseminate life-saving information and emergency alerts to the American public. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience containerizing code and migrating applications to the cloud, and is familiar with cloud modernization, future state architectures, API creation, and RESTful services. In this role, you'll be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment with high client visibility and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Key responsibilities include:
- Hands-on Development, Troubleshooting and decision-making in the use of technologies such as Python, SQL, containers and AWS services like Lambda, RDS, API gateways and other relevant tools/frameworks to ensure alignment with the overall architecture and product vision.
- Develop data interfaces and work with various types of databases, including both relational and NoSQL.
- Write reusable and scalable code in Python to automate application tasks.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate full-stack solutions, with an emphasis on backend development
- Design, develop, and test applications using common AWS tools and AWS-native technologies such as: S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda, RDS, Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- Use Generative AI tools in software development life cycle, code conversion, reverse engineering.
- Stay up to date with the best practices within the cloud space.
Here’s What You Need:
- Strong application development skills using languages such as Python, C/C++, or Java
- Demonstrated experience migrating applications to the AWS cloud
- Containerization experience
- Experience with AWS tools such as S3, EC2, SQS, Lambda, and RDS
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Plusses:
- Familiarity or experience with GenAI tools
Eligibility:
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust determination required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
