About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate Python Developer to join the growing Core Operations Technology team. This individual will have foundational experience in Python programming and a passion for building scalable, high-performance applications. This roles collaborates with senior developers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
Debug and resolve issues in existing code.
Collaborate with team members on code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
Participate in the development of REST APIs, web services, and data processing pipelines.
Assist in writing unit tests and automated test cases to ensure quality and performance.
Support the integration of third-party libraries and APIs.
Maintain version control using Git and follow CI/CD practices.
Work with Lambda functions for serverless computing tasks.
Manage and interact with AWS S3 buckets for file storage and retrieval.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
1-2 years of Python development experience, including Python, web scraping tools (Playwright, Selenium), REST APIs, JSON, and Git
Working knowledge of SQL and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Linux and Unix environments, and web frameworks such as Flask or Django
Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, S3, and serverless application development; familiar with Azure or GCP is a plus
Exposure to testing frameworks such as pytest and unittest, Docker, front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and Agile methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
