- Lead a team of engineers (4+) to drive multi quarter projects to scale Roblox and make systems more efficient.
- Build systems that leverage AI and ML to scale services and workloads across multiple geographical regions.
- Build, automate and standardize process automation to create a “golden path” of tooling and platform support that powers the fundamental Roblox ecosystem.
- Create performance monitoring services and observability towards understanding capacity issues and platform degradations.
- Work with product teams across organizations to understand their most critical problems and solve them with software systems.
- Experience: you have a BS degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or related engineering field with at least 8 years of experience including at least 5+ years in Software Engineering or SRE.
- Passion for systems: You have a track record of building distributed systems and getting them adopted. You care about reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
- Technical Leadership: Ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior engineers
- Experience optimizing end-to-end performance of distributed systems, including workload right-sizing and resource utilization tuning.
- Deep curiosity for how things work under the hood and have a proven ability to work independently to solve opaque performance issues
- Deep expertise in distributed systems at scale, with a strong focus on infrastructure reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- A Partner: You know that the best tools integrate broadly with the tooling ecosystem. You approach partners and processes with curiosity and seek to understand a problem deeply before you start coding.
- A Builder: You design and build systems and products. You are hands on and proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, C#, Rust, Java) and embrace AI coding agents.
- Self-organized: you’re excited about getting in front of complex problems, organizing your work by any means possible; overcome emergent issues and contributing to long-running projects as a part of the team.
- Problem Solver: you ask the right questions to solve issues within your expertise and you use data to test your theories.
- Planner - You have experience in large project lifecycles. You have experienced working in sprints, breaking down complex tasks into milestones, and reporting status to keep project scheduling accurate.
- Leader - Proven ability to Tech Lead a group of engineers to deliver on multi quarter projects

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
