The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team. This role is a strategic and integral part of our company, supporting the core product platform and partnering with others on the team to unlock value through solutions modeling. This role will give you the chance to own an end-to-end predictive human-in-the-loop solution directly used by Sales and Product teams.
Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Design, develop, and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve complex business problems and extract actionable insights. Think product engagement, card decline, potential to spend, etc.
- Data Analysis: Analyze high volume, complex transaction activity to assess patterns and trends for card declines and correlate with other customer outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate findings, trade-offs, and limitations clearly with internal and external stakeholders (tech and non-tech) at various levels.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and machine learning, and apply them to improve existing processes and methodologies. Deploy AI tools that enhance customer insights and engagement, and contribute to improving data confidence and automation in analytics workflows.
- Opportunity Identification: Enrich our evolving data stack via contributing to data features/models via AWS Sagemaker/Databrick or other means.
We’d love to chat if you have:
- Advanced Degree or Proven Experience: Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a data science role, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects into production.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and programming languages such as Python or R in a cloud-based environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions that actually influence the end-user’s workflow.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative Mindset: Experience working in cross-functional teams and partnering with other departments to drive business outcomes.

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
