You Are:
In this role, you will serve as the Staff Full Stack Engineer for a government-focused product, taking ownership of both the technical direction and the day-to-day delivery for a dedicated product team. You will be expected to actively contribute code, utilizing advanced AI and agent-based solutions to accelerate development cycles and ensure robust, scalable releases.
Your responsibilities will include architecting and implementing features across the stack, collaborating closely with cross-functional partners, and driving the adoption of innovative technologies to solve complex challenges unique to government systems. To excel in this position, you should be comfortable working with a diverse set of technologies and frameworks, including Spring Boot for backend services, Angular for dynamic front-end interfaces, and Hibernate for efficient data persistence. Proficiency in Java and TypeScript will be essential, as will hands-on experience with cloud architecture to support secure, scalable deployments. Exposure to AI agents and large language models (LLMs) will enable you to leverage automation and intelligent tooling throughout the development process. Familiarity with agile methodologies, continuous integration pipelines, and modern DevOps practices will further enhance your ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The Work:
- Lead the delivery of a government-focused product as a staff full stack engineer, ensuring high-quality and timely releases
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define and execute technical solutions
- Write, review, and maintain code using Spring Boot, Angular, Java, TypeScript, and Hibernate Leverage AI Agents and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate development and automate workflows Architect and implement scalable cloud-based solutions
- Drive adoption of best practices in software engineering, code quality, and DevOps Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative approaches to improve product delivery
Here's What You Need:
- Previous experience as a senior or staff engineer at an industry-leading technology company, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact systems at scale.
- Demonstrated end‐to‐end ownership of complex, mission-critical systems, setting the technical direction for a government-focused product and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
- Defined and communicated architectural strategy across the full stack, balancing long-term scalability, security, and maintainability with near-term delivery needs.
- Independently identified technical risks, dependencies, and opportunities for innovation, and leads the team in implementing effective solutions.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, and Hibernate, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize complex features across backend, frontend, and data layers.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and the ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems suitable for government environments.
- Demonstrated capability to evaluate, integrate, and operationalize new frameworks, tools, and patterns to improve product velocity and system reliability.
- Strong hands-on experience leveraging AI agents, LLMs, and intelligent tooling to automate workflows, accelerate development cycles, and improve code quality.
- Drove adoption of AI-enhanced engineering practices across the team, enabling measurable productivity gains and reducing manual overhead.
- Demonstrated mastery of agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery practices, ensuring predictable, high-quality releases.
- Implements and enforces engineering best practices, including code quality standards, testing strategies, observability patterns, and DevOps workflows
- Serves as a technical mentor and role model, elevating the performance of the broader engineering team through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Fosters a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
