The work
The SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC) Implementation Engineer is responsible for hands-on configuration, and customization. They will support customer identity experiences and support SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications. This role is execution-focused and centers on implementing SAP CDC ScreenSets, supporting API-based authentication flows, designing and developing SAPUI5 applications, and assisting with web and mobile integrations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, understands standard CIAM authentication mechanisms, and can troubleshoot real-world identity issues across browsers, APIs, and mobile apps. This role partners closely with frontend and backend developers and may include frontend development but does not carry architectural ownership or team leadership responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Configure, customize, and maintain SAP CDC ScreenSets for registration, login, profile management, consent, and preference capture
- Implement ScreenSet customizations using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Support API-based SAP CDC integrations using standard authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Assist development teams in implementing and debugging
- Support and troubleshoot SAP CDC integrations in mobile environments (iOS and Android), including SDK usage and API-based flows
- Debug authentication, profile, and consent-related issues across environments
- Help ensure CDC implementations follow CIAM and eCPM best practices
- Validate implementations against regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Document implementation details, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
- Provide technical support during testing, go-live, and post-launch stabilization
Here’s what you need:
- 3 years of experience with SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC / Gigya) implementations
- Direct experience configuring and customizing CDC ScreenSets
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, including the following
- JavaScript form logic, validations, and event handling
- Styling and theming ScreenSets via CSS
- Debugging client-side issues
- Understanding of CIAM authentication concepts and protocols, including the following:
- Auth 2.0
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- JWTs and token lifecycle management
- Basic understanding of SAML
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting API-based identity integrations
- Experience developing frontend applications built on JavaScript, CSS, HTML5 that integrate with an SAP backend
- Familiarity with web identity flows and browser-based authentication behavior
- Working knowledge of mobile identity integrations (iOS/Android), including CDC SDKs or API equivalents
- Understanding of CIAM data concepts
- Awareness of privacy and regulatory requirements impacting CIAM implementations
- Experience embedding SAP CDC ScreenSets into SPA frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Experience with SAP BTP
- Familiarity with SAP CDC advanced features such as the following
- Social login
- Passwordless authentication
- MFA
- Account linking
- Experience integrating SAP CDC with downstream platforms (CDP, marketing automation)
- Exposure to consent orchestration and preference center implementations
- Prior experience with SAP Service Cloud
- Bachelor's degree in a related field

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
