You Are:
The Cloud Operations Lead Senior Manager will design, engineer, and integrate the cloud environment that forms the foundation of the System. This person will implement and manage cloud services, optimize the cloud architecture for performance and cost, and ensure the environment is secure, scalable, and highly available. They will also, architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions to meet specific requirements, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate cloud resource provisioning, and establish cloud governance policies and guardrails.
The Work:
- Will design and implement cloud networking solutions including VPCs, subnets, and connectivity to on-premises resources, configure cloud security services and controls to protect cloud resources, and implement cloud monitoring and logging solutions to provide visibility into operations
- Will optimize cloud resource utilization to control costs, implement auto-scaling solutions to handle variable workloads, and design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for cloud workloads
- Will evaluate new cloud services and features for potential adoption, maintain cloud architecture documentation, and provide cloud expertise to other teams.
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: cloud engineering, cloud operations, infrastructure, and/or platform engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with one or more of the following major cloud platforms such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of cloud engineering, automation, security, monitoring, and operational support in enterprise environments.
- Experience leading cloud operations for mission-critical or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Infrastructure automation, configuration management, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code
- Working with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, network, DevSecOps, and operations teams.
- Supporting cloud migration, modernization, deployment, stabilization, and ongoing operations.
- Supporting cloud networking, identity and access management, storage, compute, monitoring, backup, and recovery services.
- Experience supporting federal, regulated, or security-sensitive environments is required.
- Ability to serve as the senior cloud operations lead and escalation point for complex cloud platform issues
- Must hold an active Secret clearance

- Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience supporting cloud operations, cloud migration, hybrid-cloud environments, or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management tools.
- Experience supporting cloud security controls, encryption, identity and access management, key management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting.
- Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery, high availability, failover, and operational resiliency in cloud environments.
- Experience with container platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, or managed container services preferred.
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, release coordination, and production deployment support.
- Experience with ITSM and operational tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations Suite, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting ATO, audit readiness, STIG compliance, FedRAMP-aligned controls, POA&M remediation, or federal security requirements.
- Experience developing cloud operations reports, dashboards, SOPs, runbooks, risk summaries, and executive-level status updates.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to mentor cloud engineers and provide technical direction to delivery teams
