As Sr. DevOps Engineer I (Salesforce), you’ll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce DevOps processes and environment management strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, managing multiple Salesforce environments, and ensuring seamless, secure, and reliable deployments across the Salesforce platform. As a key member of the technical team, you will collaborate with architects, developers, and administrators to drive automation, efficiency, and best practices throughout the application lifecycle.

What you’ll do:
- DevOps Process Implementation: Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce development, ensuring automated, repeatable, and reliable deployments.
- Environment Management: Oversee the setup, configuration, and synchronization of Salesforce development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Release Management: Coordinate Salesforce releases, sandboxes, and data migrations, ensuring proper version control, change management, and rollback strategies.
- Automation: Develop and manage automation scripts for build, deployment, testing, and environment provisioning using tools such as Salesforce DX, Jenkins, Git, Copado, Gearset, or similar.
- Integration Support: Collaborate with development and integration teams to streamline API management, data integration, and ETL processes within the DevOps pipeline.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security and compliance standards within the DevOps process, including access controls, audit trails, and secure credential management.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor deployment activities, identify issues, and resolve deployment or environment-related problems rapidly.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, environment configurations, deployment plans, and troubleshooting guides.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Salesforce DevOps tools, best practices, and industry trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of DevOps and environment management with project goals.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Salesforce Certified DevOps Engineer (or equivalent hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools and processes)
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or environment management, with at least 3+ years focused on Salesforce platforms
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Implementing CI/CD for Salesforce using Salesforce DX, Jenkins, Git, Copado, Gearset, or similar tools
- Managing Salesforce environments (sandboxes, production, scratch orgs)
- Automated deployments, version control, and release management
- Supporting API integrations and ETL processes in Salesforce environments
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, change sets, and deployment strategies
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
SALARY RANGE: $124,000 - $160,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
