Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to provide AWS cloud architecture and deployment in cloud platform environments - including public cloud, private cloud & hybrid cloud. This can include AWS cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, & cloud management & monitoring.
Responsibilities include:
- Provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task.
- Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements.
- Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.
- Deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
- Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework as well as AWS networking and security services
Here's what you need:
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience or master's degree and 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, AWS Engineer, or Cloud engineering
- Experience with AWS services (EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.)
- Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control
- Prior experience of scripting languages (Java, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks
- Experience with docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes or Amazon EKS)
- Five (5) years applied experience on containerized platforms
- AWS Kubernetes CKA certification or training and at least two of the listed AWS certifications (or training).
- Three (3) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or training
- AWS SysOps Administrator Certification or training
- AWS DevOps Engineer Certification or training
- Three (3) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification:
Security clearance:
- An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
